Today, [November 13th 2020] Yxng Bane returns with his brand new single “Cut Me Off” – a formidable and high-energy track that features the inimitable D Block Europe.

Following on from Bane’s Quarantime: The Lost Files mixtape in May this year, the new single is a statement of intent from the 24-year-old East London rapper – a dose of new music for fans and an impeccable display of dexterity and skill as Bane performs his unique blend of melodic rap. “Cut Me Off” lands with the Kalvadour Peterson-directed visual – shot in an opulent hotel in London earlier this year. As Bane’s energy and charisma burst through the screen, viewers see him performing effortlessly as he attempts to woo his onscreen love interest. With cameos from Young Adz and DirtBike LB, the video is nothing short of spectacular – not to mention Bane’s impeccable styling.

Just before the world went into the initial lockdown, the East London rapper and vocalist had, as always, been busy in the studio recording on a nightly basis. When the UK Iock-down was enforced, Bane decided it was the perfect time to uplift spirits, and share some of the tunes he’d been making. After an instagram live listening party for fans, Bane dropped the Charlie Sloth-hosted “Quarantime: The Lost Files” mixtape, including organic features from his friends and peers Headie One, D Block Europe, K-Trap, Kojo Funds and M Huncho.

Now, amid the UK’s second lockdown – Bane returns once again. This time with a powerful collaboration that’s sure to take over the airwaves.

No stranger to a truly addictive single, Bane has more than cemented himself as one of the most talented and dominating talents in the UK scene. After a brief break to recharge and create, Bane is truly back and means business. Since the release of his remix of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” back in 2017, the vocalist and rapper has been propelled into the limelight. His 2018 HBK Mixtape, saw Bane taking us on a journey of honesty and raw emotion, and was critically acclaimed. The mixtape spanned topics of love, loss, desire and the notion of constantly growing and doing better – something Bane realised he needed some time to do himself.

Having seen huge chart success with his collaborative single with Yungen “Bestie”, which held an awe-inspiring 18 weeks in the charts, and his own single “Rihanna”, Bane went on to hold ten weeks in the Top 20 with the unavoidable smash “Answer Phone”, a collaborative single with Ella Eyre and Banx & Ranx. Returning with his own solo smash “Vroom” in 2018, Bane rocketed into the Top 30 once again, illustrating his ability to create a true ear-worm but also the power of his devoted and loyal fanbase.

Nominated by the likes of BBC Sound Poll, VEVO, Deezer and more, Bane proved himself as one of the most exciting artists in the UK. Having sold-out Brixton Academy off the back of a mixtape, the fashion world came out in force, with Bane modelling at LMFW. The 24 year old went on to model campaigns for Diadora, Adidas and beyond, even garnering support from the likes of British Vogue, Dazed & Confused, GQ, Wonderland Magazine, Hunger Magazine, and more.

Stay tuned for more from Canning Town’s very own rockstar; Baney Jagger.
