Artist Focus: Potter Payper

Potter Payper announces brand new Mixtape “Thanks For Waiting” coming October 1st & new single “Nothing’s Free” with Suspect, out now!

Hi guys, we’re treating you to a special Friday edition of our “Artist Focus” blog as we’ve just checked out this latest banger from Potter Payper and Suspect which you just need to hear ASAP.

British lyricist Potter Payper has announced his anticipated new mixtape, ‘Thanks For Waiting’, set for release on Friday 1st October via 0207 Def Jam

‘Thanks For Waiting’, pays recognition to all those who have continued to support Potter in spite of his absence during the last few years

Featuring his recently released single ‘Catch Up’ alongside fellow British emcee M Huncho, the tape includes 19 unheard songs which all find Potter delivering his accounts of street politics, whilst presenting a whole new side to his lyrical abilities

The new tape is the follow up project to last year’s critically acclaimed Training Day 3 – the final instalment to his road rap trilogy – which debuted at #3 in the UK Official Album Chart and has amassed over 68 million combined streams to date

“The inspiration behind the tape is to elevate my sound and take it to the next level whilst still remaining true to it.” Potter says

His musical journey began in 2013 when he released one of the best mixtape’s in UK Rap history, titled “Training Day”

Soon after, he rose to prominence off of the back of his legendary freestyles, those of which have accumulated over 25m views to date. Potter continued to show his versatility and consistency and in 2016 he unveiled “Training Day 2”, which was soon followed by a plethora of singles and features with the likes of Giggs, Stormzy & Young Adz”

I don’t know about you guys but I’m really excited to hear this release and will definitely be keeping my eyes and ears open for new tunes in the future. Let us know what you think and have a cracking weekend.
