L.A.X spreads the good vibes on electrifying new single ‘Loke’

One of Nigeria’s biggest musical stars L.A.X returns with his feel good new single ‘Loke’, out 5th June via Rasaki Music Ltd/EMPIRE.
With 700M+ career streams to date and several hits under his belt, L.A.X sets the tone for an active summer with ‘Loke’, which is produced by renowned Amapiano innovator Magicsticks (Asake, Bnxn, Ckay, Davido, Spinall) , who injects some of his electric sound into the afrobeats banger.
Accompanied by a visualiser with an official video on the way, ‘Loke’ is the first single of the year for the Nigerian artist , and begins a roll out that will see L.A.X extend and express his versatility and collaboration on the full-length follow up to last year’s No Bad Vibes.
Damilola Afolabi, known professionally as L.A.X is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, recording & performing artist creating a fusion of sounds tagged ‘Zaza Vibes’ that is peculiar to him; a fusion of afrobeats, house, and amapiano. Throughout his musical career so far, L.A.X has worked with some of West Africa – and it’s diaspora’s biggest acts including Wizkid, Ayra Starr, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Simi, Black Sherif, Maleek Berry and Moelogo – as well as global acts like Konshens and R3HAB.
Under his independent label Rasaki Music, L.A.X is known for a varied output from club bangers to love songs, included huge tracks such as ‘PEPE ft Davido’, ‘Fine Boy’, ‘Caro’ and ‘Ginger’ with Wizkid, ‘Gimme Dat’, ‘Gwara Gwara’ and more recently, the global smashes ‘Sempe’ and ‘Go Low’ from with his sophomore album Zaza Vibes currently on 505M+ streams.
To mark his 2023 project No Bad Vibes with features from Black Sherif, Ayra Starr and Konshens, L.A.X completed a 25- city EU tour over two months and a packed week in Paris for Fashion Week with his debut runway walk and cemented that with a headline show in Lagos to wrap up his year. With this and other projects, he has received a wide range of media plaudits along the way, from the likes of Vogue, CNN, SoccerBible, Notion, Squaremile, Highsnobiety and GRM Daily.
