Arguably the fastest-growing duo in the music industry, THEE SUKA have built their career gradually over the years individually under their stage names of SucreSoul and Kadjila.
THEE SUKA was formed in the year 2020 during the pandemic distress with a specific intention of spiritually soothing the world through Afro House music produced in South Africa to the world.
Affectionately known as SucreSoul, Tshepo Shawn Marong a Sowetan-born spinner grew up in Tembisa then later moved to Klipfontein View in Midrand. Known for his soulful EDM and Afro-house, he got into music production and djing to fulfill his lifelong dream of sharing his kind of music style with the world. With one EP (Self Discovery) and Album (I am SucreSoul) under his belt, SucreSoul previously produced deep soulful house music influenced by the then Soul Candi sound, he later fell in love with the sound of Afro which led him to release his first EP under the genre titled “True Identity” in the year 2019.
Thembekile Bomela has been working behind the scenes for the past decade ever since their friendship spewed. Known as Kadjila, the singe tant in the production space while he was traveling abroad due to his gospel group music performance.
With their debut single as a duo, on the 23rd of April 2021, Thee Suka dropped one of the biggest songs titled Mano Mano under Moblack records which led to them receiving international support from Keinemusik, Cycles as well as Black Coffee as his theme song throughout his 2021 international summer tour and on his Brooklyn Mirage NYC Reel video. Having worked with DJ Tekniq on a song titled “Bale Kule”, Thee Suka got the attention of Aluku Records which later released Various Compilation SA Edition Pt. 3 and featured a song titled “Zulu” by Thee Suka as their second offering on the 7th January 2022.
Thee Suka is currently in the studio working on their next projects, the duo’s ultimate dream is to follow the footsteps of their icon “Black Coffee” and be recognized globally.
