You know the drill! Presenting this week’s mix of music we’ve been looping, let’s get into it…
Jaz Elise is an upcoming talent from Jamaica, with smooth and mellow vocals ‘Good Over Evil’ is the track we’ve been loving. Although feeling rooted in reggae with it’s soundscape, Elise’s fresh delivery brings it into something modern with an edgy R&B twist.
‘Cherry B’ is the latest single released by North London rapper JORDY. Being a keen rapper and wordsmith since the age of eight, music has always been flowing through his DNA. He is honest and direct whilst also not taking life too seriously which comes through in the vibrant and playful track Cherry B.
Elderbrook (real name Alexander Kotz) is a British musician, songwriter and producer. His track ‘Body’ promises to keep the last of summer heat burning even as we begin venture into autumn. Kotz’s influence comes from a variety of genres – while just a teenager he started out playing in an indie band and later utilising his guitar skills as a singer songwriter. He also experimented with hip-hop before nailing his niche as an electronic musician.
Ruti was the winner of The Voice in 2018, mentored by Sir Tom Jones, she bagged a recording contract with Polydor Records as a result of her win. Citing her influences amongst the likes of Laura Mvula and Lianne La Havis, Ruti’s silky vocals and optimistic vibe is guaranteed to be a spirit lifter, soundtracking brighter days ahead!
