Dancehall superstar Lisa Mercedez today drops her debut EP ‘Drama Free’, sharing the latest single from the project ‘Bumpa’. Produced by The FaNaTiX, ‘Bumpa’ is a rhythmic cut igniting memories of late nights and dancing with friends. ‘Bumpa’ marks the second release from Drama Free, joining the indelible recent drop ‘Night Love’ from the project.
Laid over 6 hypnotic tracks, Drama Free is a blissful taste of a worryless life. The EP sees Lisa unite with an all-star lineup; from dancehall talent Ninja Man, Vybz Kartel and Culan to rap names Nadia Rose and I Am Aisha in a project that pushes the boundaries of the genre as we know it.
Speaking on the project, Lisa says –
“This project means everything to me because it’s my first time putting together a body of work like this and I feel honoured to have such a variety of artists whose work I love featuring on it. It’s a privilege to have legends like Vybz Kartel on the project who I’ve always looked up to. It’s always great working with different creative people. I feel that I’ve evolved a lot over the years as an artist, obviously dancehall is my core but I’m influenced by the English scene and culture as well. Hopefully my fans will see my diversity and the fun side of me and let their hair done and just have fun.”

Having collaborated with the likes of Vybz Kartel, Sneakbo, Stefflon Don, Ms Banks and Preditah, Lisa Mercedez is leading the charge for the new generation of dancehall artists.
