Global afrobeats artist L.A.X has teamed up with fellow Nigerian stars Taves & Ayo Maff on ‘Let Me Know’, out 19th September via Rasaki Music/EMPIRE.
For ‘Let Me Know’, L.A.X draws from his R&B bag, combining this style with his signature sound. As with most narratives in the R&B genre, this is a song about love, but more specifically a love that endures and shows up in times of need. L.A.X, now sitting on over 700M streams, rides over a floating, loose percussion-led instrumental oozing with sunshine vibes.
‘Let Me Know’ is the second single to be taken off his upcoming project, and follows previous single, the amapiano inspired ‘Loke’, which L.A.X made alongside acclaimed producer Magicsticks. Other release highlights this year include international features with Sean Tizzle, Omar Montes, Big Papa313, and with fellow Nigerian artist Balloranking.
L.A.X is a singer, songwriter, and performer renowned for his signature ‘Zaza Vibes’ sound, a fusion of afrobeats, house, and amapiano. Since 2016, under his independent label Rasaki Music, L.A.X has released hit tracks like ‘PEPE’ with Davido, ‘Caro’, and ‘Ginger’ with Grammy-winning star Wizkid, and global hits like ‘Sempe’ (124M streams) and ‘Go Low’ from his sophomore album, ‘Zaza Vibes’, which has surpassed a huge 505 million streams.
In 2023, L.A.X released ‘No Bad Vibes’, collaborating with Black Sherif, Ayra Starr, and Konshens, embarking on a 25-city European tour and making his runway debut at Paris Fashion Week. With a Colors performance under his belt, L.A.X’s impact on the culture has been recognised by major publications like Vogue, CNN and GRM Daily and UPROXX naming ‘No Bad Vibes’ as one of the 10 Best Albums of 2023. His track ‘Sempe’ has achieved 138 million streams on Spotify alone.
