Victor Ray
‘Sticks & Stones (ft, Kojey Radical & Strandz)’
(Decca Records)
Not only has Victor Ray sold out every show he’s played this year, reached billions of streams, graced the cover of Wonderland Magazine, agreed a global ambassadorship for Karl Lagerfeld, released two BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra supported EPs and seen support from Apple Music, Spotify, BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, The Observer, Sunday Times Culture, BET, Clash, MTV, and The Line of Best Fit to name a few, he has now enlisted two of the most in demand artists from the UK Rap scene, Kojey Radical and Strandz, for his new single and video ‘Sticks & Stones’.
The second single to be revealed off his newly announced ‘I WILL.’ EP, is a tale of resilience, dreams and success against the odds and is perhaps the biggest statement so far from Victor. Musically it showcases not only his flawless, soulful vocals but also his talents as a rapper, where he sounds just as at ease as he does singing, blending seamlessly alongside two of the best the UK has to offer. Speaking about the single Victor says
“Sticks & Stones is the story about where I’m from and the walls that are encased over a young child’s dreams due to the environment they’re raised in. The song also dissects the voices of self-doubt that I had to overcome to allow myself to believe that my story is worth telling”
With the fourth and final EP in his ‘I AM.’ series due for release via Decca Records in UK and Capitol in the US next year, Victor Ray is well on his way to global superstardom. Following his sold out headline show at London’s KOKO on 25th November, his final live dates of 2024 see him playing to rooms across Europe, finishing up in Cologne, before a well earned break and the start of a new year that is certain to see him shoot to superstardom.
