Delivered by Afro*Disiac Live Radio CIC, Reggae on the Bay is a free, open-access celebration that brings families, communities, and visitors together on the shoreline—creating space to reflect, connect, and celebrate African-Caribbean heritage.

A Growing Cultural Movement

In 2025, we welcomed over 500 Windrush families to the beach—many travelling across the UK to be part of something truly meaningful.

What took place was more than an event.

It was:

A powerful expression of heritage, identity, and belonging.

A space where stories were shared across generations.

A moment of joy, visibility, and unity on the Dorset coastline.

From the first sound of reggae across the sand to the final moments of togetherness, the day resonated with pride, love, and resilience.

What to Expect

Set against the natural beauty of the coast, Reggae on the Bay offers:

Live reggae music celebrating the soundtrack of Windrush.

Storytelling and cultural reflection rooted in lived experiences.

Family-friendly activities in a relaxed, inclusive setting.

A unique beach environment that brings culture and nature together

Why It Matters

This is what we do every year.

Not just to remember—but to actively honour a living legacy.

Reggae on the Bay is about:

Reclaiming space and celebrating cultural contribution

Creating inclusive environments where everyone feels welcome

Building stronger, more connected communities through shared experience

Whether you come with family, friends, or simply to experience the atmosphere, you are part of something bigger—a collective celebration of culture, history, and community on the South Coast.

Building the Future Together

Reggae on the Bay is more than a one-day gathering—it is a growing cultural movement.

Together, we continue to honour the Windrush legacy, celebrate Caribbean culture, and create spaces where community, inclusion, and heritage remain at the heart of everything we do.
