Hello and welcome all to another brand-new weekly roundup! With the arrival of summer, here are four tracks to enjoy in the sun! 🎵
Let’s dive in…
*Track 1 (Calypso/ Soca) – DJ Private Ryan & Nessa Preppy – “Nasty Flow”
To kickstart this Weekly roundup we have a taste of the Caribbean with DJ Private Ryan & Nessa Preppy’s “Nasty Flow”. The song title speaks for itself on this. A subtle yet nasty flow from Nessa Preppy as the German born and Trinidadian raised represents the home of Soca on a smooth, soft beat with heavy 808s from DJ Private Ryan. A chill beginning to this weekly roundup to warm up the groove with a great tune. Available to listen on Spotify, Deezer, Apple & check out the official audio on YouTube down below! ↓🎵 ↓
*Track 2 (Hip Hop/Rap) – Quavo & Takeoff – “Hotel Lobby”
In at track number two we have two members from the Migos turn the heat up with their latest single “Hotel Lobby”. Hard hitting bass, complimentary chords and fitting flows from Quavo & Takeoff that constructs a captivating hook. With controversy currently surrounding the Migos (Quavo, Offset, Takeoff) regarding a potential breakup with the platinum selling Hip Hop group, that won’t stop the release of a banger. This cold beat is collectively produced by Murda Beatz, Keanu Beats & Fabio Aguilar, who create an atmospheric feeling for the listener as the two rappers float over the gifted beat. A great turn up song that can match any type of energy. Available to listen on Spotify, Deezer, Apple & the official Music video on YouTube down below! ↓🎵 ↓
*Track 3 (Hip Hop/Rap) – Anonymuz – “MORPHEUS”
In at track number 3 we have one of Florida’s most underrated rappers/producers to come out in the past few years, Anonymuz. Fresh off his latest project “ANAGO” released on June 21 2022, the rising talent has continuously outdone himself on many other projects over the years with must listens such as his 2017 EP “Urameshi” and fan favourite “There Is No Threat” from his last album in 2019. ANAGO’s vibe consists of modern boom bap/ hard trap bangers and Anonymuz doesn’t fail to deliver clever and interesting songwriting, along with his unique style that puts together an incredible opening track with “MORPHEUS” produced by Darrel Howard. Some of his best performances to date lay on this album, MORPHEUS alone is one of my personal favourites from this project and a guaranteed head bop for Hip Hop lovers. Available to listen on Spotify, Deezer, Apple & the official music video on YouTube down below! ↓🎵 ↓
*Track 4 (Reggae) – Floyd West – “Formula” (True Melody Riddim)
If you’ve made it this far, prepare yourself for a beautiful reggae track from the recently released True Melody Riddim compilation album. This soft reggae track packs its punch with the raw talent of the talented and underrated Floyd West, working alongside the elegant production that spotlights Floyd’s lyrics and delivery. An overall great song and a perfect way to conclude this Weekly Roundup. Available to listen on Spotify, Deezer, Apple & the official audio on YouTube down below! ↓🎵 ↓
We hope you enjoyed the picks for this Weekly Roundup!
Have a great week and see you in the next one!
