We are sorry to inform you that the Bournemouth Reggae Weekender event we had hoped to host from the 2nd to the 4th of July 2021 in Kings Park has been POSTPONED.
Unfortunately, as mentioned in the Prime Minister’s speech on the 14th of June, the government’s roadmap for the easing of COVID-19 restrictions is set to be delayed by approximately four weeks. This sadly means that we will be unable to provide the fun-filled experience previously offered at our event due to numerous concerns regarding the safety of our attendees and the detrimental effect these restrictions would have on the enjoyment of our stalls and attractions.
All is certainly not lost, however, so keep your chins up! We are already in talks with the local relevant authorities regarding a reschedule and a major announcement regarding new dates will be made by June 25th so keep your eyes peeled across our socials for updates.
We have been incredibly lucky to have been so strongly supported by the local community and to have received countless positive messages from Reggae enthusiasts far and wide. Rest assured that we are working tirelessly to ensure Bournemouth gets its Reggae fix this summer and we look forward to celebrating with you in a care-free environment!
All of us here at AFRO*Disiac Live Radio are amongst the people who are disappointed by this news however we find it in the best interest of the local community to delay the event until a time that we can ensure the safety of our ticketholders, staff and artists alike. The last thing we would wish to do is put any further strain on our local NHS frontline workers as this event is in an effort to show our support and solidarity for them after all.
Thank you for your love and support.
